Ir. Mohd Faiz works in Cawangan Perancangan Aset Bersepadu, Public Works Department (PWD) Malaysia portfolio in Building Information Modeling (BIM), since June 2013. He is responsible to facilitate and ensure the success of BIM adoption in PWD, to establish collaboration with other government agencies, private sector and Higher Education Institutions and to provide technical consultation services to other government agencies. He is one of the team who responsible to develop BIM standard guideline and procedure for PWDM projects. He is also a Professional Engineer-Civil registered in Board of Engineering Malaysia (BEM), Member of Institute of Engineering Malaysia (MIEM) and Member of Malaysian Steel Structure Associations (MSSA). 

Eleven years’ experience in civil engineering field especially in structural engineering. Responsible in analysis and design for Ministry of Education and Ministry of High Education for RMK -9 and RMK-10 such as Standard Building Structures for Primary and Secondary Schools, SJK(T), Naiktaraf Matrikulasi, Naiktaraf JPN, Naiktaraf PPD, Labuan International School etc. Other than that, involved in forensic building structures and also being a lecturer for Analysis and Design by using Orion’s and Staad Pro’s software for PWD projects. In 2012, responsible in supervised road ’s construction for PWD projects at Batu Pahat, Johor.

Qualified in Certified Professional Revit Architecture 2014 and Certified Professional Revit Structure and also being a lecturer for Applying Revit Structure in PWDM’s project. Currently he gives a lot of lecture in BIM field for PWD, CIDB, IEM and others agencies for his experience in BIM implementation in Malaysia.

Ir. Mohd Faiz holds a degree in Civil Engineering and master in Project Management from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).

Leadership experience in Asia Pacific, German Corporate Real Estate:

P&L, Conceptualization, Investment analysis, Construction, Procurement, Operation, Maintenance, Value Preservation, Energy Conservation, Contract Management, Transformation Strategies, Transition Plan, Business Continuity/Crisis Management for various installation “Green” to “Brown” Field.

Amongst Senior Leadership roles held;

  • Country Director Chulia Facilities Management (35 MNCs including in Mid East & ASEAN)
  • Country Operation Director JLL (40 MNCs clients; Shell, Google, P&G, HSBC, Taylors ..)
  • Vice President for JLL/ Intel Asia Pacific (11 countries, 18 sites)
  • Facilities Director Bosch Germany, Vietnam (based in Erfurt, HCMC)
  • Director of Real Estate for Q Cells AG (Euro1.0 billion capex)

Have garnered various Excellence Awards including FM Excellence Award by Frost Sullivan 2016, Shell Malaysia HSE Silver Award for On Shore Services 2015 (among few).

Graduated from University of Arizona, USA in Chemistry.
